Synopsis:
For 130 years, the Montreal urban institution known as the Accueil Bonneau has been offering shelter, meals and support to people on the streets. Among the dozens of volunteers is a barber named Roger, who tidies up back and sides and gives the homeless just a bit more dignity. He has been offering his services for decades, listening to the mumble of broken dreams that sit in his chair with the comradeship of male silence and restraint. He is a remarkable character, portrayed here with directness and humour in a few vignettes that go straight to the heart. A film with more humanity than is found in many a windy speech.
