Synopsis:
The Life and Art of Kathleen Ferrier is about the distinctive English contralto, Kathleen Ferrier (1912-1953) one of the truly great singers of the XXth century, and, in particular, her enduring musical legacy today. Drawing on a wealth of new, recently discovered information sourced from archives around the world, the film recasts Ferrier’s life and stunning international career in a contemporary idiom, revealing a modern, romantic woman at odds with her time.
