Synopsis:
Former trade unionist Gilbert Cardon is now one of the pillars of an association in the town of Mou- scron known as «Fraternités ouvrières» or Workers’ Brotherhoods. Sometimes he mans the welcome desk during the weekly office hours, where he never misses an opportunity to show visitors his experimental garden-orchard, a luxuriant, food-producing labyrinth that shakes up our very idea of what a gar- den and orchard can be. At other times he teaches free gardening classes that are true initiations into other living kingdoms. At others, he talks about the conditions under which his huge seed warehouse, which occupies the entire multi-purpose room, was built. Of course, it was a collective project. It’s an oasis, but at the same time not one, because Gilbert makes sure to maintain a contact that is both polemical and socially conscious.
