Synopsis:

In Hermanovce, Slovakia, like in other romani villages, the richness of traditions is slowly disappearing. Through the portrait of 4 romani women, this film will attempt to capture the fragments of a culture falling into oblivion. In a world where romani people still are persecuted and their identity repressed, in a society in which women are often the victims of violence, it is important to listen to those tales and stories, those “women’s words”.
Through the words of Hichka, Kristina, Bachta and Kosa, we discover paths filled with real and imaginary stories, with dreams and pains, ways walked by spirits as well as bodies, roads where, high up, the ancestors’ song is gliding…

This film wants to leave some mark of the ancestral romani culture, today in complete mutation and about to be forgotten by the young generations.
