Synopsis:
“An odd film about fashion with a Belgian in it...” In Belgium, we talk about multiple languages and the mixing of language, but also about the lack of a common language. There is no heritage to which we can identify indirectly. No father figure, no hero and no great orator, which leaves room for a variety of identities that blend together. Belgian designers have invented their own language. Sometimes it is eccentric, sometimes it is simple or pure. The self-taught Belgian designer Jean-Paul Lespagnard has made a distinct impression and shaken up the world of young designers, thanks to an outrageous collection inspired by fries and by cowgirls named Jacqueline... When we talk about designers, we often ignore that to attain a level of luxury and excellence, you have to elbow your way in, to be tenacious and even utopian! Fashion is a saga with no end. It can be tragedy or fairy tale, often both at the same time...
