Synopsis:
From within their films, the 4th film from the collection Cinéastes d’aujourd’hui, “L’âge de raison, le cinéma des frères Dardenne” offers a journey into a magnificent work. Film makers Alain Marcoen and Luc Jabon, take a gamble with their personal take on these films. From “La Promesse” to “Gamin au vélo”, they give us a real lesson in cinema, drawing both on the family of actors and crew and on other less obvious participants. As the title suggests, moral questions are the basis for this documentary, using stories told by Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne: from temptation to murder to possible forgiveness, thwarted love to shameful love and the controversial father figure to the resistance of women.
