Synopsis:

I've always wanted to leave Charleroi and I've always had the urge to film Charleroi – to record the changes of the times. A town that seems to be caught between the half-buried past and a future that hasn't yet arrived. This is the portrait of a factory town with its collapse, its mutation, its landscape and its language. Where René Magritte meets with a camp of the homeless, the agents of renewal, the inventor of the Big Bang, the Zèbres, socialism, the trauma we lived through as children.
