Synopsis:

Filles de joie tells the story of three women during a blazing hot summer, between the north of France and Belgium. Axelle, Conso and Dominique have only one thing in common: they are colleagues and every day the three of them cross the border together. In order to live a dignified life on one side of the border, in Roubaix, they work as prostitutes on the other, in Belgium. This is their secret, their double life. At the end of the summer, when the storm finally breaks, these three women will join forces in solidarity in the same way that people join forces in resistance. They will share a new secret which will bind them together forever. What is it that drives these women, who would normally be expected to be competing against one another, to join forces in solidarity in the same way that people join forces in resistance?
