Synopsis:
"Ma vie en rose" is a film about being different. It is the story of a little boy who dreams of being a little girl. What seems natural to him does not always look that way to other people; there are things we find normal that society deems taboo. It is also the story of the child's parents, who are at a loss in the face of his tenacity and conviction. Parents who cope as best they can and are hurt to see the accusation in their neighbour's eyes. It is the story of a quiet neighbourhood finding out about difference, fear, incomprehension and denial. A story of dreams, magic and hope. A story of the Technicolor world of a doll and a real world fading to grey. Of a psychological violence more painful than blows. An optimistic tale of disillusionment.
