Preview of Belgian Oscar entry "Our Children"

This preview of the Belgium's entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2013 Oscars will take place on Friday, November 9th, 2012 at 7:30 pm at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica.

Mureille and Mounir are madly in love. Since his childhood, the young man has lived with Doctor Pinget, who ensures he wants for nothing. When Mounir and Murielle decide to get married and have kids, the couple’s dependence on the doctor becomes excessive. Murielle thus finds herself trapped in a stifling emotional environment that insidiously leads the family towards a tragic.


Presented by the Consulate General of Belgium in Los Angeles, in cooperation with Flanders Image and Wallonie Bruxelles Images, with the support of E.L.M.A. (European Languages and Movies in America).

Grit and Whimsy is the monthly Belgian film series, organized by the Consulate General of Belgium, in partnership with the American Cinemathèque.
