"When Arabs danced" selected at DOC NYC

The official selection of DOC NYC has been revealed this October 11th. Jawad Rhalib’s documentary When Arabs danced will be presented.

Awarded at Visions du Réel (International Film Festival Nyon) by the Audience Award and the Best film of the Grand Angle section, Jawad Rhalib’s documentary was also featured as North American premiere at Toronto International Film Festival.

When Arabs danced is produced by R&R Productions and co-produced with Zonderling, RTBF (Belgian broadcasting), CANVAS, Wallonie Image Production and Free Son Production, with the support of the Centre du Cinéma et de l’Audiovisuel de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.

Since its beginning in 2010, DOC NYC had become one of the largest documentary film festival of the United States. Based at the West Village’s IFC Center, the eight-day festival showcases new achievements in documentary films. This year, the ninth edition of the festival will take place from 8th to 15th November.
