Belgian presence in Montreal

Three films from Wallonia-Brussels and a fistful of co-productions are selected at Festival du nouveau cinéma in Montréal. This important festival in Quebec will take place online this year.

The Festival du nouveau cinéma in Montréal will take place online between October 7th and 31st. In the Temps Ø section, there is Music Hole by Gaëtan Lekens & David Mutzenmacher produced by Rockstone Films, with the help of Centre du Cinéma et de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.

In the P'tits Loups section, there are And Yet We Are Not Legends and Sweet Night both directed by Lia Bertels and produced by Ambiances... asbl, with the help of Centre du Cinéma et de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. There is also Away by Mathilde Pepinster, produced by Atelier de production de La Cambre.

"In the middle of winter, in the country of the Yeti, a bear does not manage to fall asleep. He thinks too much and is in the doldrums. When a white monkey suggests him going to eat some honey at his aunt to change the ideas. A beautiful and strange night opens up then and the bear realizes that he did well not to fall asleep."

There are also a few co-productions from Wallonia-Brussels selected. In the Temps Ø section, there is The Book of Vision (Entre Chien et Loup), Delete History (Scope Pictures), Mandibles with Roméo Elvis (Artémis Productions), Fishlove (Tarantula), The Horn Quartet - Up to the Mountain (La Boîte,… Productions), The tiger and his Master (La Boîte,… Productions) and The Last Day of Autumn (La Boîte,… Productions). In this FNC Explore section, there are Mirror: The Signal (Versus production) and Meet Mortaza (Dancing Dog Productions).
