Home Front by Lucas Belvaux in the official selection at Rome Film Fest

Rome Film Fest has started its 2020 edition. Home Front by Lucas Belvaux is in the official selection.

In 2019, Rome Film Fest had selected Valley of Souls by Nicolás Rincón Gille (Neon Rouge Productions) in the official selection, a film from Wallonia-Brussels. But above all, in 2010, Kill Me Please by Olias Barco received the best film award and the critics' prize.
For its 15th edition running from October 15 to 25, Rome Film Fest has selected Home Front by Lucas Belvaux in the official selection. This is the eleventh feature film by Lucas Belvaux and it is an adpation of the eponymous novel by Laurent Mauvignier, starring Gérard Depardieu, Catherine Frot, Jean-Pierre Daroussin and introducing the young Belgian actor Yoann Zimmer.

Synopsis: In 1960 they were called up to fight in the Algerian War. Two years later, Bernard, Rabut, Février and others came back to France. They kept quiet, living in silence. But 40 years later, it takes almost nothing — a birthday party, or a gift held in one’s pocket — for the past to overwhelm those who have denied it for so long.

Home Front is produced in Belgium by Artémis Productions. With the support of the Centre du Cinéma et de l'Audiovisuel de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. CInéart will release the film in Belgium on November 18. The film will be distributed in France by Ad Vitam Distribution. International sales are handled by The Party Film Sales.
