Alice de Lencquesaing awarded best acting at Festival du Nouveau Cinéma

Sunday October 21, Alice Lencquesaing won the Best Acting Award at the 41st closing ceremony of the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma (Montreal) for her performance in Headfirst, first feature of Belgian director Amélie Van Elmbt.

Seen in French movies as Polisse (Maiwenn) and L'Heure d'Eté (Olivier Assayas), the 22 years old actress is in Headfirst Zoé, a young girl who decides to go on the road to approach a writer she admires. A road trip that may give sense to her life. On the way, she meets Adrien (David Murgia), who intrigued by her elusive personality decides to follow her.

Headfirst
is Amélie Van Elmbt's debut which premiered at Cannes' ACID.
