Emilie Dequenne's nomination for the European Actress 2012

In Seville, EFA announces Emilie Dequenne's nomination for Best European Actress at the European Film Awards for her role in Our Children.

Thirteen years after Rosetta, Emilie Dequenne's performance in Our Children by Joachim Lafosse impressed the public and the press in Cannes, and was awarded Best Actress at Un Certain Regard.

Produced by Versus production and distributed by Les Films du Losange, Our Children is a psychological drama film marks a reunion between Murielle (Emilie Dequenne) and Mounir (Tahar Rahim) who are madly in love. Since his childhood, the young man has lived with Doctor Pinget, who ensures he wants for nothing. When Mounir and Murielle decide to get married and have kids, the couple’s dependence on the doctor becomes excessive. Murielle thus finds herself trapped in a stifling emotional environment that insidiously leads the family towards a tragic demise.

The Academy's members will now vote for the winners of the different categories, which will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on December 1st in Malta.
