Festival Tour for Tenderness

Marion Hänsel’s Tenderness continues its festival tour since it has been selected in more than a dozen film festivals. Here is a bird’s eye view of this special world trip.

Produced by Man’s Film, Tenderness is the last of Marion Hänsel’s works. Brought together on screen by Olivier Gourmet and Marilyne Canto, the film depicts the story of a couple separated for 15 years. The couple reunites for the duration of a two-day journey when they go and get their son, hospitalized in another country after a ski accident.

The film had its world premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival in January 2013. It has also been selected at the Hong Kong Festival, the Itinérances Festival in D’Alès and in the Rhonalpin Festival which took place in April.
The film will shortly be screened at the Midnight Sun Film Festival and at the Shangaï International Film Festival in June.
It will kick off its summer season at the Karlovy Vary Festival and Paris Cinema and it will carry on at the Boston Film Festival and the Espoo Festival in Finland.
In the autumn, the film will continue its journey at the Hamburg Film Festival, Kaunas Festival in Lithuania, Molodist Festival and finally in Dubai in December where it has already reserved its seat.

The film will be released in Belgium and in France in the autumn.
