"The Christmas Log" wins Cartoon D’or

Yesterday, at Cartoon Forum in Toulouse (pan european animation rendez-vous), the Cartoon d’Or 2014 was awarded to The Christmas Log, an episode from the well known series A Town Called Panic by Vincent Patar and Stéphane Aubier.

This prestigious award completes a remarquable year as the short film won the Grand prix at New York International Children Film Festival, two awards at Vila do Conde Festival (Portugal) and was selected within the Annecy official competition.

The 26 minutes short follows the new misadventures of Cowboy and Indian, the outrageous characters met in the feature-length movie A town called Panic. The friends become overexcited in anticipation of their Christmas gifts and have difficulty not being naughty.

The Christmas Log will be released in France (Gébéka Distribution) and Belgium (O’Brother) in November, before its diffusion on Belgian television for Christmas. The Christmas Log is a production from La Parti supported by Le Centre du Cinéma et de l’Audiovisuel of the Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles, Wallimage, RTBF and the Tax Shelter as were Ernest and Celestine and A town called Panic series and feature film.
