"Keeper" wins Best Film in Torino

Saturday evening during the closing ceremony of the Torino Film Festival, Keeper by Guillaume Senez was awarded the Best Film prize worth 15.000 euros.

Following awards in Locarno (Europa Cinemas Label), Hamburg (Young Talent Award), Warsaw (Special mention), Bienne (Young Jury Prize) and Namur (International Critics Prize), Keeper’s career continues beautifully on the festival circuit.

The film tells the story of Maxime (Kacey Mottet-Klein) and Melanie (Galatea Bellugi), both 15 years old and barely out of childhood. When Mélanie finds out she's pregnant, Maxime wants to keep the baby at all costs.

Keeper was produced in Belgium by Iota Production with the support of the Centre du Cinéma et de l’Audiovisuel de la Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles, VOO and the RTBF. Cineart plans to release the film in Belgium on March 9th 2016. Happiness Distribution will handle the French release (march 23rd). International sales are handled by Be For Films.

Created in 1982, the Torino Film Festival, renowned for discovering new talents, is one of the main film festivals in Italy.
