Cairo International Film Festival (Cairo)

EN/ Cairo International Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Cairo. It was established in 1976 as the first international film festival in the Middle East and it is the only International competitive feature Film Festival recognized by the FIAPF in Africa and the Middle East and the oldest in this category.

Three competitions are organized in the frame of the Festival: The International Competition, it maintains a high standard of about 18 long feature films, with an average of 17 countries participating. The Digital Film Competition has also been added, considering the number of features produced digitally. As Egypt is the leader of the Arab world, it's our must to have a competition for long feature Arabic films.

The three competitions are judged by an assembly of three different international and prestigious juries.
