What do a medieval town, a life and a hospital have in common? All three are clearly defined, enclosed spaces, which one day you enter and then after a while leave. In them are unassuming doors, twisting corridors, stories and lessons to be learned. "Through the Walls of the Heart" is an epic poem on being born and dying whose main character is St. Peter's hospital in the heart of Brussels. It is a place where you can travel; make a stationary yet distant journey. The destination has a number of names : the other, the elsewhere, the mystery, the dragon, the heart. Ultimately it comes down to that timeless quest : how do you pass through walls?
