“4937 Kilowatts a Year” at Hot Docs!

The graduation film by Ellie Delvaux and Madeleine Faburel-Dumail will have its world premiere at the Hot Docs festival in Canada.

Hot Docs is the largest documentary festival, conference, and market in North America. Each year, the festival presents a selection of more than 180 cutting-edge documentaries from Canada and around the world. Through its industry programs, Hot Docs also offers a full range of professional development, market, and networking opportunities for documentary professionals.

The short documentary 4937 Kilowatts a Year by Ellie Delvaux and Madeleine Faburel-Dumail will have its world premiere in the Shorts section of the Hot Docs festival. The film, produced by INSAS, was made as part of the Regard croisé program.

Let us also highlight the presence of a French-speaking Belgian co-production,Fatna, a Woman Named Rachidby Hélène Harder (White Boat Pictures), in the Persister section.

The Canadian festival takes place in Toronto from April 23 to May 3, 2026.
