5 awards for French-speaking Belgian cinema at the Locarno Film Festival.

The Locarno Film Festival unveiled the awards for its 75th edition on Saturday 13 August. Among the winners are 3 Wallonia-Brussels productions, including Valentina Maurel's film "Tengo Sueños Electricos" which achieved an incredible performance by winning 3 prizes!

The 75th edition of the Locarno Film Festival came to a close on Friday 13 August. The winners of the 2022 edition were announced at the end of the awards ceremony. Belgian French-speaking cinema won 5 prizes. 

Valentina Maurel's film Tengo Sueños Electricos, produced by Wrong Men, which had its world premiere a few days earlier, performed impressively well, winning Best Actress for Daniela Marín Navarro, Best Actor for Reinaldo Amien Gutiérrez and Best Directed film! A promising debut for the director's first feature film, whose previous short film was presented at the Semaine de la critique in 2018. 

Gigi la Legge co-produced by Michigan Films and directed by Alessandro Comodin won the Grand Jury Prize. The film also had its world premiere a few days earlier 

Finally, Delphine Lehericey's film Last Dance, co-produced by Need Productions, won the Audience Award.
