“Run very fast but not too fast because it’s slippery” at Cinéma du Réel!
The short film by Ginja Wajskop has just been selected for the upcoming 2026 edition of Cinéma du Réel!
The Festival Cinéma du Réel is one of the major events in international documentary cinema. Created in 1978 at the initiative of the Bibliothèque publique d'information and organized at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, it showcases works that question the contemporary world through singular and committed perspectives. Each year, the festival presents an international competition, retrospectives, tributes, and meetings with filmmakers from around the world. A true space for discovery and reflection, Cinéma du Réel champions a demanding cinema rooted in reality and open to new forms of documentary expression.
This year, the student short film Run very fast but not too fast because it’s slippery by Ginja Wajskop is part of the French festival’s program. The film is screened in the First Window section alongside twelve other films. This section is dedicated to very first documentary gestures and brings together short films of varying lengths, made by emerging filmmakers. The film is produced by INSAS.
Congratulations to the CBA and Gsara, coproducers of the film Labore nobile by Juliette Achard in Competition.
The 48th edition of the festival will take place in Paris from March 21 to 28, 2026!
