Dalva wins the audience award in Rotterdam

Emmanuelle Nicot's first film, "Dalva", wins the audience award at the 2023 edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Also note that two other Wallonia Brussels titles and several co-productions had been selected.

Dalva, by Emmanuelle Nicot, produced by Hélicotronc, wins the Audience Award of the International Film Festival Rotterdam with more than 4700 votes. The film was presented in the Harbour section. 

Among the other french speaking titles presented during this edition we find, Truong Minh Quy & Nicolas Graux's new short fiction film Porcupine, produced by Dérives, which made its world premiere in the Short & Mid-length section.  In the same category, we also find the self-produced short film by Antonin de Bemels, HUMUS (multiplexing).  

Moreover, in the Limelight section we have two co-productions, The Blue Caftan by Maryam Touzani (Velvet Films) and No Dogs or Italians Allowed by Alain Ughetto (Lux Fugit Film).  Another noteworthy presence is the film LUKA by Jessica Woodworth, co-produced by Beluga Tree.  

Also noteworthy is the participation in the Rotterdam Lab, with the support of Wallonie Bruxelles Images, of producers Laurence Buelens (Rayuela Productions) and Vincent Metzinger (Naoko Films).

The IFFR 2023 takes place from January 25 to February 3, 2023.
