Annecy Film Festival 2026: Five Belgian animated films selected!

This year, six short films and six coproductions supported by the Centre du Cinéma et de l’Audiovisuel will be presented in Annecy

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival is the leading animation film festival in the world. Every year in June, for one week, the city hosts more than 200 films screened at various locations. In addition to the screenings, the festival offers meet-and-greets, exhibitions, workshops, premieres, and outdoor events. All animation styles are represented: 2D, 3D, stop-motion, and experimental.

The Little White Queen by Théo Hanosset & Mathieu Georis, produced by Ozù Productions and internationally distributed by La Luna Distribution, has been selected for the Official Short Film Competition.  

Mom by Camille de Vulpillieres, produced by La Cambre, has been selected in the Graduation Films category.

My Name is Lilith by Léo Luna Robert-Tourneur, produced by Vivi Films and internationally distributed by Miyu Distribution, has been selected in the Midnight Short section.

Cloud Fish by Noé Garcia, produced by La Boîte,…Productions and internationally distributed by Autour de Minuit, has been selected in the Young Audience category.

The Great Dreamscape  by Rémi Durin, produced by Kwassa Films and internationally distributed by Autour de Minuit, has been selected in the Special TV section.

Gregor by Manu Gomez is selcted in the Midnight Specials program. The films is produced by Monkey Productions.

We would also like to highlight the selection of five co-productions supported by the Centre du Cinéma et de l’Audiovisuel: the two feature films In the Waves by Phuong Mai Nguyen (Panique!) and Iron Boy by Louis Clichy (Beside Productions), all selected in Official Short Film Competition. In the short film categories, Two Ice Creams Please by Jasmine Elsen (Ozù Productions & Enclume) and Motherhood by Anca Damian, (Camera-etc) are both selected is selected in Official Short Film Competition, Sundrudby Fan Sissokoet is in the competitive section Pespectives (Artémis Productions) while Song of the Storms by Caroline Attia (Take Five) is selected in the Special TV section.

Let us also highlight the selection of Yugly by Yanis Belaid  produced by the Belgian production company. The film has been selected as the opening movie in the Annecy Presents Feature Films category at the festival.

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival will take place from June 21 to 27, 2026, in Annecy.
