

Rome Film Festival 2025: Several Belgian films on the program!
Two films, "Trial of a Young Poet" and "Six Days in Spring" will represent Belgium at the Rome Film Festival.
The Rome Film Festival, created in 2006, has become one of the must-attend events of the cinematic autumn. Held at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, it offers a diverse selection of premieres, documentaries, and auteur films, along with encounters with directors, actors, and industry professionals. Each year, the Roman red carpet draws numerous international stars, reinforcing its role as a global showcase for cinema.
This year marks the world premiere of the documentary Trial of a Young Poet by Philippe Van Cutsem, produced by Rinneborre and represented internationally by the CBA. The film has been selected in the Freestyle Arts section.
In 1964, the poet Joseph Brodsky, then 24 years old, was accused of social parasitism by the Soviet regime. At the end of his trial, Brodsky was sentenced to five years of hard labour and exile in the northern part of Russia. Based on the detailed account of the trial recorded by journalist Frida Vigdorova, the film revisits this historical episode, which caused a major stir at the time.
Following its world premiere at the San Sebastian Film Festival, Joachim Lafosse’s new feature Six Days That Springis competing in the Official Selection. The film was produced by Stenola Productions and is represented internationally by Les Films du Losange.
Despite adversity, Sana wants her twins to have a spring vacation, but all her plans fall through. They secretly decide to stay in her former in-laws' villa on the Riviera, without telling anyone. Six days of sunshine that mark the end of innocence.
The Rome Film Festival will take place from the 15th to the 26th of october 2025.
