

Toronto International Film Festival 2025: Four Belgian co-productions !
This year, four films co-produced by Les Films du Fleuve, Velvet Films, Beluga Tree, or Wrong Men, with support from the Centre du Cinéma of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, will be featured at TIFF.
Founded in 1976, the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is recognized as one of the most important film events in the world, both in terms of public attendance and professional reach. Drawing inspiration from Toronto’s cultural diversity, the festival screens on average more than 300 films from over 60 countries, across about fifteen different sections. The 50th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival will take place from September 4 to 14, 2025.
Co-produced by Les Films du Fleuve, Julian by Cato Kusters will have its world premiere in the Discovery section.
Maryam Touzani’s upcoming film, Calle Malaga, co-produced with Velvet Films, will be shown at TIFF in the Special Presentations section.
Sk+te’kmujue’katik (At the Place of Ghosts) by Bretten Hannam, co-produced by Beluga Tree, has been selected for both the Platform section and TIFF Next Wave Selects.
The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo by Diego Céspedes, part of the Centrepiece section, was co-produced by Wrong Men.
Finally, it is worth noting the participation of Umedia in the credits of Dandelion’s Odyssey (Planètes)by Momoko Seto, also included in the Centrepiece section.
