Premiers Plans Festival: A Strong Presence of French-Speaking Belgian Films!
No fewer than six French-speaking Belgian productions are part of the programme of the 38th edition of the Premiers Plans Festival in Angers!
By focusing on the discovery of emerging European filmmaking talent and on showcasing Europe’s rich cinematic heritage, the Premiers Plans Festival in Angers has established itself as an essential cultural event. Appreciated by artists and industry professionals alike, it attracts an enthusiastic audience eager for new discoveries, while benefiting from the support of numerous partners and influential figures in the sector.
For this upcoming edition, the festival has selected Wild Foxes by Valéry Carnoy. The film is part of the European First Feature Competition. This debut feature is produced by Hélicotronc and represented internationally by The Party Film Sales.
Following its world premiere at the Karlovy Vary Festival, Before After, the debut feature by Manoël Dupont, will be screened in the Diagonales Competition. The film is produced by Les Films de la Récré and is sold by Outplay Films.
Two Belgian short films are also included in the First Short Films Competition: À corps by Baptiste Guiard, produced by Wise Up Productions and Frakas Productions, and sold by Hors du Bocal; A Sky So Low by Joachim Michaux, produced by Venin Film and Naoko Film.
In the Student Films Competition is the short film Chaos et café froid by Joséphine Reboh, produced by Médiadiffusion.
Finally, the short film Le Planeur by Solbum Lee is selected in the Animated Plans Competition. The film is produced by La Cambre.
