Belgium shines at the Go Short Festival 2026 !

It's a great year for Belgian cinema at the Go Short Festival 2026 with a total of seven selected short films!

Go Short is the most important Dutch festival for short films. For five days, over 280 short films are screened in and around LUX in Nijmegen. Besides screenings there are exhibitions, workshops, performances, parties and more. Go Short accepts all short film genres: animation, documentary, fiction/live-action and experimental/artfilm.

Two short films have been selected in the European Competition, Rio Remains Beautiful, directed and produced by Felipe Casanova, co-produced by Un Point Bleu Pâle and represented internationally by MoreThan Films alongside the animated short Venezia Diorama by Nicolas Piret produced by Take Five.

Prout by Marc Henri Wajnberg, produced by Wajnbrosse Productions is in the Family Shorts 4+.

In the section Late Night: Erotica is Vibrations by Miguel Soll, produced by Ecole de Photographie Agnès Varda. Carrie the Cavity  by Jade Lambert is in the Late Night: Weird Animation, the film is produced by La Cambre - École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels.

Captain T directed and produced by Nicolas Marcon joins the Music Video Competition section.

Love to Death by Ingrid Heiderscheidt and produced by Cinapse will be presented in the European Audience Favorites section.

We would also like to highlight the presence of French-speaking Belgian co-productions supported by the CCA : Air Horse One by Lasse Linder (White Boat Picture) and Loynes by Dorian Jespers (SCUMWrong Men).

The festival will take place from the April 7th to 12th in Nijmegen.
