French-speaking Belgian cinema is strongly represented at Go Short!
The Dutch short film festival Go Short started on Friday 1st April. The programme of this 2022 edition includes 7 Wallonia-Brussels productions, 3 of which are in competition.
Among the Wallonia-Brussels productions in competition for this 14th edition of the Go Short festival, we find, within the Europe competition, the short film by director Maïa Descamps, Oysters, produced by Fox The Fox.
Note the strong representation of INSAS productions, notably with The Salamander Childby Théo Degen in competition in the Student section.
Other INSAS productions programmed in the Specials section are Mother'sby Hippolyte Leibovici, The Furniture by Mehdi Pierret and Square-Eyed by Laure Massiet du Biest & Louisson Assié. In the same section we find the SquareFish production, The Night Watch by Julien Regnard.
Finally, we note the presence of Michiel Blanchar's film, You’re dead Helen produced by DayLight Films and distributed by Premium Films internationally. The short film had already made a good showing in the Oscar race and was shortlisted but not selected as a nominee for this 2022 edition.
