"Otro sol" awarded at Mar del Plata!
Francisco Rodriguez Teare's film "Otro sol" has been awarded at Mar del Plata International Film Festival.
The Mar del Plata International Film Festival has just concluded its 38th edition, which included a French-speaking Belgian film.
The documentary Otro sol by Francisco Rodriguez Teare eceived two awards: The Astor Piazzolla Award for Best Feature Length Film and the Banco Nación, Alta Definición Argentina and Sendfiles Award to the Best Feature Lenght Film. The film produced by Michigan Films was selected in the Latin American Competition section of the festival.
Otro Sol is a film set out to invent, while investigating, the legend of Alberto, a Chilean international thief, made prisoner in Europe and murdered in Chile at the age of 29. To do so the film crosses two territories, linked by a colonial history: the Atacama Desert in Chile and southern Spain.
