Four Belgian projects presented at Cartoon Movie
Several Belgian projects in concept or in development will be pitched in Bordeaux at Cartoon Movie 2024
Cartoon Movie is a pitching and co-production forum for animated feature films. Over two days, producers have the opportunity to present their film projects to expedite funding, find co-producers, and attract international distributors.
Four Belgian projects are being presented this year for the 2024 edition:
- Dreamwalker by Rudi Mertens, produced by Vivi Film.
Lucy is like any other 11-year-old girl, but recently, she has been experiencing sudden sleep attacks. When diagnosed with a rare sleep disorder called narcolepsy, her life takes a sudden turn.
- Rouxelle and the Pirates by Arnaud Demuynck and Isabelle Favez, produced by La Boîte,... Productions.
Rouxelle and her parents have just moved to a new village. None of the local children her age can read yet, so to impress them, she boasts that she can read, but it's a lie.
- The Flying Man's Prophecy by Julien Lambert, produced by Squarefish.
In a world in decline, Jacques, a taciturn colossus, lives isolated surrounded by abandoned objects he has repaired. Jacques does not suffer from loneliness because since his childhood, he has a power: he can talk to objects!
- Yugly by Jérémie Degruson, produced by nWave Studios.
Yugly, an irresistibly ugly dog, is determined to participate in the World's Best Dog Contest, supported by a band of flamboyant stray dogs.
