Six Belgian productions are on the KVIFF program!
For its 60th edition, the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival has selected six Belgian productions: "Forest High", "A Man of His Time", "Forever Your Maternal Animal", "Yesterday the Eye Didn't Sleep", "Venezia Diorama" and "Bobel's Kitchen".
Each year, the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival establishes itself as a major showcase for European and international cinema, featuring both established works and emerging voices of the big screen.
Four films appear in the festival’s Horizons section: Forest High by Manon Coubia, produced by The Blue Raincoat and distributed internationally by Rai Cinema International Distribution. Also included are two films recently awarded at the Cannes Film Festival: A Man of His Time by Emmanuel Marre, produced by Michigan Films and internationally distributed by Charades, and Forever Your Maternal Animal by Valentina Maurel, produced by Wrong Men, with international sales handled by Heretic.
Also presented at the Cannes Film Festival is Yesterday the Eye Didn't Sleep by Rakan Mayasi, produced by Atata and internationally distributed by Salaud Morisset.
In the Imagina section is, Venezia Diorama by Nicolas Piret, produced by Take Five and represented internationally by Manifest, will be featured.
Bobel's Kitchen by Fiona Rolland, produced by La Cambre, will be presented in the Pragueshorts at KVIFF section.
In addition to these selections, there are three co-productions supported by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation: Coward by Lukas Dhont (Versus Production) and All of A Sudden by Ryūsuke Hamaguchi (Tarantula and Gapbusters) in the Horizons section, and Loynes by Dorian Jespers (SCUM, Wrong Men) in Pragueshorts at KVIFF.
Finally, let us acknowledge the presence of A Woman’s Life by Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet, presented in the Horizons section and supported through the RTBF/FWB Special Fund, co-produced by Versus Production.
The festival will take place from July 3 to July 11 in Karlovy Vary.
