"Memories of A Friend" by Olivier Smolders has been selected in the International Competition of the Tampere Film Festival 2026.
The Tampere Film Festival, held annually in Finland, is recognized as one of the most prestigious short film festivals in the world. The film’s selection in the International Competition provides a new showcase for this Belgian production and confirms the international reach of auteur cinema.
The experimental documentary short film Memories of A Friend, directed by Olivier Smolders, continues its festival run with a selection in the International Competition at the Tampere Film Festival, one of Europe’s major events dedicated to short films.
The film is produced by Les Films du Scarabée and previously had its world premiere at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
Also noteworthy is the selection of Air Horse One by Lasse Linder (White Boat Pictures), supported by the CCA, also in the International Competition.
