

Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival Program Includes Five Belgian Productions!
The Estonian festival PÖFF Tallinn Black Nights has included five French-speaking Belgian productions in the program of its 29th edition!
The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival is a unique event that combines a feature film festival with sub-festivals for animated films, student films, and children’s/youth films. The festival aims to present the Estonian audience with a comprehensive selection of world cinema in all its diversity, with a special focus on European films. It also offers a friendly atmosphere to encourage exchanges between the public, Estonian filmmakers, and their international colleagues.
After his previous film Lola vers la mer, which won more than 20 awards including 2 Magritte Awards and a César nomination, Laurent Micheli’s new filmNino in Paradise will have its world premiere in the Critics' Picks Competition section. The film is produced by Wrong Men and internationally sold by Paradise City Sales.
Sixteen years after the comedy Les Barons, Nabil Ben Yadir & Mokhtaria Badaoui’sThe Baronesses will also have its world premiere in Tallinn. Selected for the Rebels with a Cause Competition, the film is produced by 10.80 Films.
Valéry Carnoy’s Wild Foxeswill be featured in the Youth Programme section. The film is produced by Hélicotronc and internationally sold by The Party Film Sales.
The animated short film The Mud Under my Window by Violette Delvoye will also be presented in the Shorts Animation Competition section. The film was produced by OZÙ Productions and sold internationally by La Luna Productions.
Finally, in the Shorts Kids Animation Competition is Prout, the new stop-motion series by Marc-Henri Wajnberg, produced by Wajnbrosse Production. This series consists of 52 episodes of 7 minutes each, animated in plasticine.
