Three Films Selected at Warsaw Film Festival

The films “Kika,” “Wild Foxes,” and “Young Mothers” will be part of the programme for the Warsaw International Film Festival!

In 2009, the Warsaw Film Festival became one of the 14 events recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations as one of the world’s most important international film festivals, alongside Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Locarno, and others. The WFF program is divided into five competitive sections and five non-competitive sections.

For its 2025 edition, the WFF has selected Kika by Alexe Poukine. The film was produced by Wrong Men and is represented internationally by Totem Films. It will be presented in the Competition section.

While pregnant with her second child, Kika faces the sudden death of her partner. Totally heartbroken, and broke, she sets her priorities straight:

1. stay strong;
2. make money fast.

Dirty underwear, dildos and neurotic parents will unexpectedly help.

Wild Foxes by Valéry Carnoy, produced by Hélicotronc and represented internationally by The Party Film Sales, will also be featured in the Competition section.

At a sports boarding school, talented young boxer Camille narrowly survives a fatal accident, saved by his best friend Matteo. After a swift recovery, an inexplicable pain gradually takes hold of him, threatening his dreams of greatness and his relationship with the team. In the ring and in a man’s world, there’s no room for weakness.

Produced by Les Films du Fleuve and sold by Goodfellas, Young Mothers by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne will appear in the Encounters section.

Jessica, Perla, Julie, Ariane and Naïma are housed in a young mothers’ home to help them in their life as young mothers. Five under-aged mothers fight to obtain a better life for themselves and their children.

In addition to these three films, another co-production supported by the CCA will also be presented: The Richest Woman in the World by Thierry Klifa, co-produced by Versus.

Finally, we should note the presence of Flow by Gints Zilbalodis, co-produced by the Belgian production company Take Five, which also appears in the festival’s lineup.

See you in Warsaw from October 10 to 19, 2025!
