An outstanding year for Wallonia-Brussels cinema at the Guanajuato International Film Festival

The Mexican film festival featured five selections from Wallonia-Brussels in its program!

In the Iridiscencia International Competition section, we have two titles: Yesterday the Eye Didn't Sleep by Rakan Mayasi, produced by Atata and sold internationally by Salaud Morisset, and Forest High by Manon Coubia, produced by The Blue Raincoat and sold by Rai Cinema International Distribution.

In the International Feature Film Documentary and Non-Fiction section are two documentaries: Hair, Paper, Water… by Trương Minh Quý and Nicolas Graux, produced by Dérives and sold internationally by Lights On, as well as Jérôme Le Maire's new film, The Price of the Sun, produced by Clin d'oeil films and Iota Production.

Reflection in a Dead Diamond by Hélène Cattet & Bruno Forzani is selected in the International Competition - Luminaries and Mavericks: Masters of Cinema program. It is a production by Kozak Films, with sales handled by True Colours International Sales.

The festival took place from July 24 to August 2, 2026.
