From the living room of my grandparents’ Parisian apartment, I embark on a journey through time that is part family story and part history of the decolonisation of the Congo. Through interviews, archive films and poems, this film weaves their two accounts together. It is also the story of my relationship with this complex history and my attachment to the country of my childhood, which still lives in me, even though I no longer live in it.
