The short films of Wallonia Brussels in Clermont-Ferrand

The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival has unveiled its schedule for 2022. The program includes many Wallonia Brussels films, four of which are in the running.

The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival returns in 2023! Some of this year's notable submissions include, in International competition, the short fiction film produced by Les Films de la récré, Oil oil oil by Manöel Dupont.

In National competition, we can find the film by Basile Vuillemin, The Silent Ones, produced by Magellan Films.  

Finally, Jules & Juliette by Chantal Peten (Altitude 100 Production) is competing in the Young Audience category. In the same section, there are three short animated films produced by La Boîte,... Production : The Big Tantrum by Célia Tisserant & Arnaud Demuynck, Why Is Snow White? by Pascale Hecquet and Why Do Trees Lose their Leaves in the Autumn? by Pascale Hecquet.

Three Franco-Belgian productions are also present in the LIBIDO retrospective: 69SEC by Laura Nicolas (Atelier de production de la Cambre), Les Amoureuses by Catherine Cosme (Hélicotronc) and Partouze by Matthieu Donck (Hélicotronc).  Finally, Betty's Burning by Camille Vigny, produced by Need Productions, will be shown as part of the CANAL+ special screenings.  

In terms of co-productions we have, in National competition, Matapang by Léa-Jade Horlier (Wrong Men). In International competition, there are one additional co-production: It takes a village by Ophelia Harutyuyan, (Matching Socks). In LAB competition, you’ll find Joseph Pierce’s film, Scale (Ozú Productions). Bazigaga by Joseline Ingabire Moys, co-produced by White Boat Pictures, has been selected for the African Perspective category.  Another co-production will also be seen at the CANAL+ special screenings: Poupées de chair by Florence Rochat & Séréna Robin (Cookie Films).  

This year's edition of the Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival takes place from January 27 to February 4, 2023.
