In military terminology, inner lines are escape routes which are located near opposing lines. They provide a way of passing undetected and fleeing. In this film, they are also interior paths, places where our sorrows reside. Around Mount Ararat, messengers and their carrier pigeons travel along these parallel paths. It is along these inner lines that we follow them today, as they go to meet up with communities in the grip of war, in Turkey, Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
