"Zero Fucks Given" wins the Grand Jury Prize of MyFrenchFilmFestival

The international jury of MyFrenchFilmFestival has announced the title of the Grand Prize winner : "Zero Fucks Given", by Julie Lecoustre and Emmanuel Marre, produced by Wrong Men.

MyFrenchFilmFestival is an online French film festival! Organised by UniFrance since 2011, it presents a selection of ten feature films and ten short films in competition, including one Belgian feature film and one Belgian short film each year.

The feature film directed by Emmanuel Marre and Julie Lecoustre, Zero Fucks Given, produced by Wrong Men, won, this Friday, February 10, the Grand Prize of the International Jury composed of Emily Atef, Chie Hayakawa, Sergei Loznitsa, Juho Kuosmanen and Albert Serra!

"We have decided to award the Grand Prize to Zero Fucks Given, first feature film of Julie Lecoustre and Emmanuel Marre, for its very singular and contemporary point of view on a young woman working in a low-cost airline company, running away from her life. Amazingly embodied by Adèle Exarchopoulos, the film explores a dehumanized in-between world, where flight attendants are working for in-the-air supermarkets. With strong artistic choices and a bold and rough cinematography, the two directors depict a contemporary disease: the need and the mirage of escaping from the ground."

In addition to Zero Fucks Given, two Belgian French-speaking short films were also selected: the short film, Titan by Valéry Carnoy, produced by Hélicotronc (competition), as well as the animated short film, produced by Squarefish, The Night Watch, by Julien Regnard (out of competition). The films were available online on the festival’s website from January 13 to February 13, 2023.
