An important Wallonia Brussels delegation at IndieLisboa!
The international film festival IndieLisboa starts this Thursday, April 27th in Portugal. Among the films presented at this 20th edition, there are eight titles from Wallonia Brussels, including three in official competition!
The 20th edition of the IndieLisboa International Film Festival starts on April 27.
This year, a significant delegation of films represents the Francophone Belgian cinema. To begin, two Wallonia-Brussels titles are presented in the international competition: Otro Sol by Francisco Rodriguez Teare, produced by Michigan Films, and the short film A Season in Hell by Yann Ducreux, produced by Phosphore Films.
Moreover, the short film Adrian's tears by Miguel Moraes Cabral, produced by Naoko Films, is presented in the national competition.
Also noteworthy are the selections of two animated films produced by La Boîte,... Productions in the section IndieJúnior, dedicated to children and young audiences. They are the new short film Go Away, Alfred! by Célia Tisserant & Arnaud Demuynck, and the feature film Yuku and the Flower of the Himalayas by Rémi Durin & Arnaud Demuynck (also produced by Artemis Productions). In the same section, we also find the short film Bob le petit éléphant by Louise-Marie Colon & Siona Vidakovic, produced by Caméra-etc..
In the special screenings section, two other Wallonia-Brussels titles are showcased: Thermes by Banu Akseki, produced by Frakas Productions, and the 2016 INSAS graduation short film by Aline Magrez, No'I.
Finally, in the Silvestre section, Gigi la legge by Alessandro Comodin, co-produced by Michigan Films, is presented.
The 2023 edition of the IndieLisboa festival takes place from April 27 to May 7.
